On July 1st, Iquique Terminal Internacional S.A. presented two new computer applications developed specially for its clients who belong to shipping agencies or shipping companies. The first application is a port movement manager, where the user from some of the companies registered in the system may know in real time information about containers received or moved inside the terminal, besides the containers transference status and performance, as much as shipping, unloading and restowed.
This application is installed in a computer and only the Internet is required, no setting or special permissions needed, allowing the user use it anywhere where the Internet is available, either connected or wifi.
The second application is for our clients who belong to shipping agencies or shipping companies registered with us, but required work on site; this is a mobile application for smartphones. This application allows to users know in real time information about containers transference status and performance, check summaries of planned, done and missed movements. The second consultation shows a summary of cargo for shipping pending to enter to the terminal.
These computer developments are focus on a better service for our clients, providing useful online information, in order to take any decision by their own, without asking to our personnel. In the future new applications will be developed to improve customer service, operating with state-of-the-art technologies.
