As a way of supporting local divers and shellfish man, Port of Iquique (EPI), through the Administration and Finance Manager, Mr. Juan Jose Ramirez and Operations Manager, Mr. Ernesto Piwonka, delivered two freezers to the presidents of the unions Albatros and Bahía Iquique, Hernán Zepeda and Carlos Vega, respectively.
"We pretend with this contribution to give a boost to workers, because through a greater control over logistic chain of their business, they can increase productivity and offer better services," said Piwonka.
While Carlos Vega noted “The delivery of these implements is a help for us as people of effort and a great contribution to our union."
This initiative is part of the Social Responsibility of Empresa Portuaria Iquique and aims to encourage the undertaking of these workers, who in a long time have conducted their activities in port premises and now have a place at the Caleta Guardiamarina Riquelme.
