ITI’s representatives was crowned champions of the first tournament of its kind in the city.
Players who once wore the shirt of Deportes Iquique swept in the first football-tenis championship that took place this weekend on ESAVI court.
The winners were representatives of ITI S.A.. the duo was made up of former professional footballers Julio Huidobro and Giancarlo Howard.
The second place was obtained by team Oishi, represented in court by former CDI, Dixon Ahumada and Juan Farías.
The third place was achieved by representative of Vital UNAP, formed by brothers Fabián and Diego Salazar and the fourth place was taken by "yayo" team composed of Álvaro Delgado y Lukas Fernández.
First place obtained as a reward two hundred thousand Chilean pesos and the second a one hundred thousand Chilean pesos.
Dixon Ahumada and Juan Fernández wore the shirt of Deportes Iquique until 2010. Ahumada finished its professionalism in Naval club.
Currently the two young men are working in a mine. They indicated that they have good memories in their passage through the professional football though they explained they stopped playing because they earn little money.
Yesterday, on the final day of the championship they were accompanied by their families, whose support them at all times on these two days of tournament.
