ITI and Deportes Iquique have formed an alliance that favors port workers

With a ceremony at the Iquique Terminal Internacional S.A. facilities, it was sealed the agreement between the company and Deportes Iquique Club.

The activity held yesterday at berth site No. 4, was chaired by the General Manager, Fernando Ugarte and with the presence of CDI’s President, Cesare Rossi and six players from the football staff.

The event was attended by various personalities involved with maritime industry and although the ceremony was delayed because the team was training in the morning, closed doors, six of his figures attended, led by his Captain, Ruben Taucare, accompanied by Rodrigo "Rengo "Diaz, the goalkeeper Rodrigo Naranjo, Misael Davila, Michael Contreras and Alvaro Ramos, players.

On campus, were ready to report the details of this agreement, the general manager, Fernando Ugarte, "Tata" Taucare and the helmsman of “sky dragons”, Cesare Rossi.

The first one to address the guests was Fernando Ugarte, who explained: “this important agreement between this two institutions allows our workers to obtain some benefits, we have former players who are working in ITI and playing by the team of the ITI, including Ruben Taucare, who also worked with us".

"ITI wants to approach to community and in this case, Deportes Iquique is a great reference to the excellent campaign is performing. So, ITI in a way of supporting Deportes Iquique, being his sponsor, they made his debut on last Sunday, before Wanderers with company’s logo in their shorts. These resources will help the club in different things as travelling between other things, he said.

He added “This alliance makes workers to obtain some benefits, besides participating in football tournaments and playing a match with the first team and lets them share with their children and families”.

“We are conscious that ITI as the largest port operator, we have two objectives: dredging and integration into the community through Deportes Iquique”.

After that, The CDI’s President, Cesare Rossi, appreciate support and collaboration ITI has with the club. "We are in this meeting with the main company that moves the regional pole and the alliance we sealed is not short term but long term.

I’ m happy for Iquique and have a purely local organization that supports our club, because since 1988, this club had not a great performance in first division and now we are in the South American Cup for the second year, is very valuable to be ally however, in this case ITI, he concluded.

After memory pictures, ITI invited all the guests to a cocktail to seal this new alliance between ITI and CDI.
