As part of the Week of Science and Technology, the Port of Iquique opened its doors to receive different groups of students, who could learn in this field the importance of maritime terminal.
A group of 41 students from the Liceo The Condores, from Alto Hospicio, was the first group to visit the offices of the Port of Iquique, in the framework of the XVIII National Week of Science and Technology, organized by the Program of CONICYT Explore that is being carried out parallel across the country.
In the activity, students could learn more about the history of the port and its role in the development of the region and explore the quay and its facilities.
During this week, it is expected another two groups of students - Liceo Pablo Neruda from Alto Hospicio and Liceo Politécnico from Iquique, who will visit this important commercial pole.
