Pool Lifeboat filling in Puerto de Iquique has 55% progress

Filling of the pool lifeboat located in the Port of Iquique, has a 55% in advance since the beginning of the work on July 1st. The project, which considers to increase in 20,000 square meters backup areas of the port, which final objective is a larger containers storage.
Among the advances that have reached this work, highlighting the surge protection riprap, installation of wharf piles and padding inside. In this area will be located the lifeboat’s house, in addition to be used as a lookout for sector museum Esmeralda.
The project will aim not only more space for containers, but also will build a pedestrian walkway that will connect current ride, offering a new place of recreation for Iquique community.
After six months of construction, it is expected the date of delivery to the port community in northern Chile is July 1.
