Port strike in support of second region workers union

Incidents with police ended a march by local members of the Union of the Great North Port, who remain paralyzed from Monday in the Port of Iquique in support of their peers who have several demands.

Second region workers demand reinstatement of four persons dismissed for protesting, fulfillment of half an hour to collation and to stop reprisals.

"This is a support for Mejillones partners, but it is also our request, because we want to respect the half hour mark it up, because they want to buy space for $ 3,200 taxable, said Cesar Luna, spokesman of port in Iquique, organization that mobilized more than 500 workers which left the port of Iquique (EPI) and Iquique Terminal Internacional SA (ITI) without possibility of accomplish its operations.
